Whilst this article is not designed to give you any specific information about what to invest in and how to do it, it may however give you some insight into the reasons why a small percentage of people become financially independent, while others in similar circumstances do not.

So why is it that many people say that they want to have more money and financial independence and yet the vast majority of Aussies live week to week and retire broke? 

For a long time it was believed that it was a lack of financial knowledge that was to blame, and to a certain extent that is true. Unfortunately we are not taught about wealth creation at school and therefore the responsibility of obtaining this vital information sits squarely on our own shoulders.

However, if lack of financial knowledge was the only reason for lack of success, then all those people who read books and attend seminars would be wealthy right?? Unfortunately this is not the case. Here at Premium Finance Services we believe that most of these self educated people never actually take action and follow through on what they have learned. If you asked these people what the reason for this is, you will hear a myriad of excuses:

  • Don’t have the time
  • Need more information
  • It’s not the right time for me
  • Concerns about interest rate 
  • And so on..

So if it is not a lack of financial knowledge that is the real reason people continue to procrastinate and refuse to take action on what they have learned, what is? Premium Finance Services believes that the most important factor in wealth creation is having a positive mental attitude.

If your mind set isn’t positive, and you are not confident about your wealth creation vehicle being successful, then you will be much less likely to take any steps toward investing. Instead, you will more than likely justify your inaction with a bunch of well worn excuses as mentioned earlier. To become wealthy, you have to learn to focus on the positive aspects of any opportunity, rather than what could go wrong. It is important to be educated about the risk involved, but once you have made an informed decision, don’t let anything or anyone stand in your way.

It is all too easy to listen to other negative people who will drag you down, and take you with them on their path to financial failure. It’s important to realize that these people are well meaning and often are family and friends. It’s even more important to realize however, that they are doing you no favors, and if you listen to them, you will become one of them – one of the 95% of the population who fail to achieve the wealth they’re capable of when given the help and guidance from a company such as Premium Finance Services.
